🐹 HamsterFi Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 22, 2026

HamsterFi ("we", "us") is an envelope-budgeting app for households. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect

Account: email, encrypted password (or Google account ID), and your display name + animal icon.

Budget data: household name, envelopes, allocations, transactions, recurring payments, and budget settings you create.

Device: minimal app usage telemetry (crashes, version) for debugging. No advertising IDs.

What we do not collect

We do not connect to your bank or any financial institution. We do not see, store, or share any banking credentials, balances, or transaction history beyond what you manually enter. We do not sell or share your data with advertisers.

Where it lives

Data is stored in Supabase (US region). Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth (or Google OAuth if you choose). Communication uses TLS.

Sharing

Members of your household can see all budget data attached to that household. We share data with no one else except as required by law.

Your rights

You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from Settings → Delete Account. Deletion is immediate and unrecoverable. You can export your data on request — email privacy@hamsterfi.com.

Children

HamsterFi is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.

Changes

We will post any changes to this policy here and update the "Last updated" date. Material changes will be notified in-app.
